In the large agricultural industry that is showing multi-level creative development, how should agriculture and tourism mix and match and how to integrate other industrial elements? Let's take a look at the five major leisure agriculture models abroad!
01 British model: environmentally friendly tourism
Britain is a pioneer country in the development of agricultural tourism in the world. On the one hand, highly developed urbanization provides a huge target market for agricultural tourism. On the other hand, the rapid and sustained economic growth has also given birth to agricultural tourism.
Britain has 186 farm attractions, 81 vineyards, and 209 country parks, accounting for one tenth of the country’s man-made attractions. Each farm attraction provides visitors with opportunities to participate in rural production and life, and experience the atmosphere of the farm.
Although the income from agricultural tourism may be greater than the income from agricultural production, the dominant position of agricultural production has not been weakened. Agricultural tourism has always been an aspect of farm management diversification. Starting from the farm’s operating scale, operating efficiency, and market demand characteristics, each scenic spot adheres to the orientation of miniaturization and privatization of management.
02 German model: functional social life
Since the 1990s, while advocating environmental protection, the German government has vigorously developed creative agriculture, mainly in the form of citizen farms and leisure farms.
Citizen farm
Citizen farms use farmland in the city or neighboring areas and are planned to be rented out to citizens in small plots. The tenant can plant flowers, grass, vegetables, fruit trees, etc. on the farmland, or run family farming. By personally farming, citizens can enjoy the fun of returning to nature and rural life. During the planting process, mineral fertilizers and chemical protective agents are absolutely prohibited.
Leisure Farm
Leisure farms are mainly built in forest or grassland areas. Some companies have also moved projects such as team spirit training and creativity training from the company's closed conference room to the open forest, which has produced unexpected training effects. The suburbs of Munich have become a place of recuperation that people yearn for because of its unique "riding therapy project" and its "green belt project" series of action plans.
03 The Dutch model: high-tech foreign exchange earning type
The Netherlands is a world-renowned lowland country. Relatively poor agricultural conditions have prompted the Netherlands to continue to innovate in agriculture, thereby embarking on the road of creative agriculture, and becoming the world's leading agricultural country, ranking third in the world after the United States and France.
04 French model: Eco-friendly
France's agriculture is very developed, and it is the world's second largest exporter of agricultural products after the United States. The agricultural output and output value both rank first in Europe. In France, from national leaders to ordinary people, there is a natural sense of intimacy with agriculture. French creative agriculture is a creative agriculture that focuses on environmental protection and ecological functions. It is based on field crops and adopts large-scale specialized farm production.
The Paris Region is the third largest corn producing area in France and the main producing area of fruits, vegetables and flowers. However, the function of creative agriculture in Paris for urban food supply is not obvious. Therefore, creative agriculture in Paris breaks through self-sufficient production, highlights the ecological function of agriculture, and uses agriculture to separate polluted areas such as highways and factories from residents.
Open up and create a peaceful and clean living environment. Use agriculture as an urban landscape, or grow fresh fruits, vegetables, flowers and other products that residents need. Some are used as places for citizens to exercise and leisure, and some are used as educational bases for young people.
